Some examples of fine architecture are the native house of Ilarion Makariopoloski, the Kamburov’s Inn, and the Clock Tower. Other monuments are the Raszukanovi Houses complex, which consists of five houses under one roof, and the St. Nicolas Church.Not far from the town are located the St. Nicolas and Plakovski monasteries. The surrounding mountainous area is full of broad-leaved centuries-old trees, and the small rivers are abundant in mountain barbells, chubs, etc. Just some kilometers away, the Yovkovtsi dam lake sprawls and is an excellent invitation for the fans of fishing.
