The gardens are the second largest of their kind in Europe, after the ones in Monaco.In this region there are two golf courses near Balchik and one more right next to Kavarna under construction. The golf course in the "Tabiata" area near Balchik is designed by the British professional golf player Ian Woodsman .He has symbolically marked the official start of the project in 2005. The name of the complex is "Lighthouse Golf Resort" and it will offer a fantastic sea view panorama. The local climate will allow the golf coarse to be operational 10 months out of 12 every year. Another advantage is the close proximity to the "Tuzlata" area which is famous for it's mud and mineral water healing qualities.
